"Darkstore" on Kuldja Tract, Almaty

In November 2024, the largest Darkstore in Kazakhstan, created by our long-term partner and online retail leader Magnum E-commerce, launched its operations. This large-scale, unique project, completed in record time, enabled the client to significantly expand its operational capacities and process up to 20,000 orders per day.
The Darkstore incorporates everything necessary for optimal performance: chilling and freezing rooms, order consolidation and dispatch zones, in-house production facilities, processing plants, and long-term storage chambers.

The project features the most advanced solutions for energy conservation and operational cost optimization:

• Adiabatic (evaporative) cooling systems for condensers.
• A stepless capacity regulation system for central refrigeration units.
• The integration of economizers within medium-temperature units to boost the capacity of low-temperature refrigeration machines.
• Variable frequency regulation of condenser fan speeds.
• Electronic expansion valves (EEVs) combined with intelligent control systems.
• A heating system for the receiving and dispatch zones utilizing "free" condensation heat.
• Water heating powered by the condensation heat of the refrigerant.
• Defrosting of low-temperature air coolers without the use of electric heating elements (heating elements/heating rods).
• An integrated dispatch, monitoring, and optimization system covering all operational components.

These and numerous other innovations allow our client to significantly reduce operating costs while ensuring maximum efficiency, reliability, and speed in customer service, delivering high-quality products rapidly.

Eurocold Service Ltd executed the full scope of works: engineering of refrigeration systems; manufacturing and supply of sandwich panels, doors, central refrigeration units, air coolers, condensers, control panels, as well as heat recovery and dispatch systems. Our team carried out the on-site installation, assembly, testing, and commissioning of all equipment.
