Logistics Center for Online Retail of "ARBUZ" Company on Bukhtarminskaya St., Almaty

In January 2026, a new distribution center for online retail opened in Almaty for "ArbuzGroup" LLP.
The distribution center incorporates chilling and freezing rooms for storage, as well as processing plants for packaging and product dispatch. These facilities are equipped with mezzanine systems to optimize the utilization of the chamber space.

Our team executed the full scope of engineering and implementation works for the chilling and freezing warehouse spaces for ARBUZ:
  • Performed capacity calculations and equipment selection, alongside determining installation layouts. The equipment was selected taking into account the distribution of cold airflows within the mezzanine structure designed for multi-tier rack storage.
  • Selected swing doors with protective bumper strips made of food-grade checkered aluminum for the processing plants.
  • Engineered the evaporator layouts in the storage chambers based on the principle of uniform air mass distribution, ensuring stable temperature maintenance throughout the entire volume of the space.
  • Designed the central refrigeration units with a power reserve to maintain operating temperatures across all cooled premises, even during peak loads.
  • Supplied and assembled sandwich panels and refrigeration doors.
  • Assembled and delivered central refrigeration units and condensing systems to the site.
  • Supplied and installed air coolers and condensers.
  • Assembled and supplied control panels for the air coolers.
  • Assembled and supplied the dispatch system.
  • Completed the on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of all equipment at the client's facility.

The project incorporates modern, advanced energy-saving technologies:
  • The central refrigeration units, built on Bitzer compressors (Germany), feature a stepless capacity regulation system ranging from 10% to 100% of total power. This allows the client to consume electricity strictly based on actual demand. Furthermore, the smooth operation of the refrigeration unit extends the lifespan of the compressors by eliminating damaging start-stop cycles.
  • The integration of economizers within medium-temperature units boosts the capacity of low-temperature refrigeration machines. This enables the utilization of medium-temperature system energy to support low-temperature setups, lowering both capital expenditures and ongoing operational costs.
  • All heat exchange equipment supplied by LU-VE (Italy) utilizes fans with EC motors and variable speed regulation.
  • Electronic expansion valves (EEVs) combined with intelligent control systems ensure the reliable operation of the refrigeration units and save approximately 15% of the total energy consumed by the refrigeration machines.
  • The monitoring and dispatch system for the entire refrigeration complex, sourced from the global leader Danfoss, enables real-time online tracking and adjustments of all operational parameters without physical on-site presence. The system also automatically alerts the client’s personnel and the maintenance organization in the event of an emergency.

The implementation of these modern technologies allows our partner to significantly reduce operational costs, ensure highly efficient, reliable, and prompt customer service, and confidently expand their operational footprint into new regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In addition to the new distribution center in Almaty, a similar project was jointly executed with our client in the city of Karaganda.
Special attention was dedicated to fire safety during the engineering and assembly phases of the cold rooms. Sandwich panels with PIR insulation and a G1 flammability class were utilized, ensuring a high level of operational safety.

We also provide monthly maintenance and service support, which includes:
  • Routine scheduled maintenance;
  • Emergency call-out response;
  • Analytical evaluation utilizing the refrigeration equipment monitoring and dispatch system.

We sincerely thank our partners for their trust and their readiness to jointly implement bold, innovative solutions. We wish "ArbuzGroup" LLP continued success and further expansion of their online grocery delivery service network.
